On a bright Sunday in April Deity Wedding Venue and Event Space opened their giant cast iron tree gates to the public for Atlantic Avenue’s Brooklyn Wedding Expo. The second annual Expo sponsored by the Atlantic Avenue Business Improvement District (BID), showcased over 34 vendors from Atlantic Avenue and the surrounding area.
On April 13th future brides and grooms had the pleasure of roaming the three floors of Deity, as they sampled some of the finest cakes, venues, pastries, chocolates, fine cuisine and wine that Atlantic Avenue Wedding district has to offer. Brides-to-be also browsed through decor, wedding registry, venue, flowers, jewelry, and fragrance options. Of course guests also eagerly packed the top floor of Deity for the much-anticipated fashion show. The fashion show opened with Iris Lingerie reminding brides that every great outfit “starts with the right foundation”, and included a unique spin on bridal and wedding attire from Kimera Designs. This year grooms were introduced to By Robert James, a sleek and contemporary men’s line. Veka Bridal and Michelle Bridal had everyone gasping as they showcased elegant and high fashion wedding dresses down the runway. After the fashion show, select brides participated in a quick hair styling demo from Parlor Salon and Evolution The Green Room Salon. The day ended with a surprise visit from Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams, who reminded guests the importance of supporting our booming bridal industry in Brooklyn.
The Brooklyn Wedding Expo has solidified Atlantic Avenue, as the most sought-after destination for all things wedding related. Where else in New York can you walk and source your entire wedding on one avenue?
